UW ACTIONS aims to deliver needed abortion care training
“People will be able to come to Washington state and train with us get their 40, 60, whatever procedures they need in order to be able to get to competence, and then they will be able to go home and provide greater access to that care,” said UW School of Nursing Professor Monica McLemore, speaking about the UW Abortion Care Training Incubator of Outstanding Nurse Scholars (ACTIONS) program in a recent KOMO News story. McLemore founded the program at the University of California, San Francisco, and is implementing the program at UW.
