  • Professor Peg Heitkemper was quoted in a recent CNN article on IBS.“’The measures are limited but because the sample size is so large, they do provide valuable insights into what could reduce the likelihood of IBS as middle-aged and older adults age,’ said Dr. Margaret Heitkemper.”
  • Assistant Professor Avanti Adhia is a collaborator on research recently featured in the UW Medicine Newsroom article, “Domestic violence protection cases point up minors’ risk”.
  • Assistant Professor Kendra Kamp was chosen as a 2023 Fellow for the NurseTRUST E3 Fellowship Emerging Leaders Program.

Lalipat Phianhasin presenting at the International Stroke Conference

  • PhD student Lalipat Phianhasin presented at the International Stroke Conference in Phoenix earlier this month on “Sex differences in the Expression of Mood Disturbances Post-Stroke”. Less than 10% of all submissions to the conference are typically accepted. This work is a collaboration with former UW School of Nursing T32 postdoctoral fellow Dr. Sarah Martha.
