Transition Announcement

It is with a great deal of celebration and some sadness that we share that Dr. Tatiana Sadak, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, has accepted the position of Deputy Dean and Professor of Yale University School of Nursing! We will miss Tatiana in her capacity as Associate Dean, but we are excited that she will continue to have strong ties to UW School of Nursing, as a fellow innovator, practitioner, and leader of DPEN.

We are also thrilled to announce that Dr. Jennifer Sonney has agreed to step into the role of Interim Associate Dean of Academic Affairs! Dr. Sonney has served in numerous UW School of Nursing leadership positions, is an NIH-funded investigator and leader in the field of pediatric asthma research, immediate past president of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and is the current Joanne Montgomery Endowed Professor of Nursing.

Over the past two years, Dr. Sonney has assumed immense responsibilities directing the DNP program and supporting all other UW School of Nursing academic programs and services. We are also appreciative that Dr. Bethany Rolfe Witham, Assistant Teaching Professor, has agreed to step into Dr. Sonney’s role as Interim DNP Program Director! Thank you, Dr. Rolfe Witham, for taking on this important leadership role in the UW School of Nursing!
