A Remarkable Year

2022-2023 UW School of Nursing Year in Review

From the desk of the dean

Reading this Year in Review content reminded me how much we accomplished, and how many of you who are reading this were part of that.

In every major area—research, teaching, community engagement—we innovated, created, challenged ourselves, and excelled. At the same time, we advanced our goal of doing the work needed to advance equity in both healthcare and healthcare education access.

As you read this Year in Review, thank yourself for having been part of something special. That’s what I am doing as I prepare to begin a new professional challenge as dean of the Yale University School of Nursing. I will be watching and looking for the UW SoN’s future successes.
