Welcome to the Simulation Center!
The University of Washington School of Nursing Simulation Center is a cutting-edge educational facility that offers innovative, simulation-based learning experiences for nursing students, faculty, and the community. Covering over 7,000 square feet, the center features state-of-the-art equipment, high-fidelity manikins, standardized patient activities, and skills training, all designed to prepare students for careers as registered nurses and advanced clinical practitioners. Supported by a dedicated team of Simulation Education Specialists, Graduate Teaching Assistants, Student Workers, and Simulation Technology Specialists, the center provides a safe and supportive environment to meet the curricular needs of both undergraduate and graduate students.
Located in the T-wing of the Warren G. Magnuson Health Sciences building on the UW campus, our Simulation Center features diverse simulated learning environments:
- In-patient space modeled after a hospital environment.
- Out-patient space was designed to resemble a clinic or healthcare provider’s office.
- Four exam rooms are designed for health assessment and testing purposes.
- Two Simulation Spaces for High-Fidelity Simulation Experiences.
- One Flex space for use as a simulated birthing center, home environment, or for additional High-Fidelity Simulation experiences.
- Two briefing spaces are for preparation, reflection, and discussion pre- and post-simulation experience.
