Warren Szewczyk , MS
I am excited to be a part of the Office of Nursing Research & Innovation (ONR&I) as a statistical consultant supporting research across the School of Nursing (SON)! I recently graduated from the University of Washington with an MS in Epidemiology and have been working at UW SON since 2019. I have experience analyzing complex datasets, longitudinal studies, and clinical trials, and my research background spans diverse areas including psychiatry and mental health, cardio-oncology, and health promotion.
In my role as an ONR&I consultant, I am available to SON faculty and PhD students to answer statistical questions and to talk through challenges at all stages of the research process — including study planning and design, data collection and management, analysis, and dissemination. I am also happy to advise on statistical analysis plans and power calculations for grant applications. You can book free 30-, 60-, or 90-minute consultations.
In addition, I’m excited to extend these consultation services to DNP students who are conducting research or quality improvement projects as part of their degree.
Lastly, faculty can buy out a portion of my FTE to support work on individual grants. This can include short-term work, such as conducting specific analyses or creating publication-ready figures and tables, as well as longer-term efforts, like establishing data management infrastructure for clinical trials. Lydia N Drumright, PhD MPH
I am truly delighted to join the Office of Nursing Research & Innovation’s Research Support Core as a statistical consultant where I can support colleagues in all of their creative research endeavors. For those of you who do not already know me, I am a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Informatics, where my work brings together epidemiology, biostatistics, health informatics, qualitative research, and the analysis of complex clinical and longi
tudinal data.
Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to design and analyze observational studies, clinical trials, and large multi-site cohort studies using a wide range of epidemiological methods and analytic approaches, including longitudinal modeling, survival analysis, causal inference, missing data methods, and electronic health record data. Before joining the University of Washington, I held faculty positions at the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London, where I led multidisciplinary research both nationally and internationally and in clinical and community settings on a wide range of topics using my diverse epidemiological and health informatics skillset. My current work involves a range of epidemiological and statistical methods including longitudinal and repeated measures analyses, such as hazard modeling, generalized linear models, Markov multistate models and more, meta-analysis across diverse cohorts, use of routinely collected data, evaluation of clinical interventions, and methods and evaluation of AI in processing data intense problems.
Whether you’re developing a new study, refining a statistical analysis plan, preparing a grant application, troubleshooting an analytic challenge, or putting the finishing touches on a manuscript, I’d be delighted to work with you.
