We’re excited to announce that Associate Professor Dr. Rebecca O’Connor has been named one of the 2024 Equity-Minded Nurse Awardees. Dr. O’Connor received the 2024 Equity-Minded Nurse Educator Award.
The Equity-Minded Nurse Educator Award recognizes a nurse whose efforts demonstrate excellence in supporting a diverse nursing student body and inclusive teaching and learning practices, and whose teaching or curriculum design includes topics that lead to the graduation of equity-minded nurses. The award is co-sponsored by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
The 2024 Equity-Minded Nurse Awards are presented by the AARP Center for Health Equity through Nursing and the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The awards recognize nurses who are helping advance health equity through education, practice, research and leadership.
