Seth Wolpin PhD, MPH, RN

Clinical Associate Professor
President, Wide Open Vistas wideopenvistas.org
Advisory Group, Refugee Rights Data Project

I started with the UW School of Nursing in 2004 as a Project Director working with Dr. Donna Berry on a Prostate Decision Support study. I joined the research faculty a year later and have led, and collaborated, on a wide variety of projects ranging from patient reported outcomes to predictive analytics for heart failure. I’ve led two R21 research grants focused on medication adherence and health literacy. Many of my contributions have drawn from my background in information technology, but I am also interested in analogue interventions. In 2010, I moved to the clinical faculty and began doing more volunteer work in Nepal – co-founding a non-profit called Wide Open Vistas (WOV) in 2011 that focuses on keeping children in school. I now divide my time between UW and WOV and enjoy helping find solutions for improving health outcomes both domestically and internationally.
