Rebecca Wood MSW
My career at the UW School of Nursing began in 2003 as the Program Manager of a federally funded HRSA training grant in the Department of Psychosocial & Community Health. In addition to managing three consecutive behavioral health HRSA grants over a ten year period, I also coordinated clinical placements for the PMHNP track (2005-2013) and co-taught the NCLIN 418 skills lab for BSN and ABSN students (Autumn 2010 – Winter 2011). Currently, I have a half-time Faculty appointment doing new clinical site and preceptor development for the PMHNP and FNP tracks and I also manage a 4-year HRSA ANEW subcontract with the Department of Corrections half time.
Prior to my work with the UW SoN, I coordinated clinical drug trials at the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) at VA Puget Sound Healthcare System (VAPSHCS), in the UW Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences.
Additionally, I have experience working as a contract Social Worker for the National MS Society in their care management program (2005-2006) and served in a critical leadership role, first as the Faculty Manager and then as the Director of Faculty, at a foreign language company for children in Chicago and Washington D.C. (2016-2018).
I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Washington in 2005 and my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois in 1999.
