Johanna Hulick has worked as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) for 15 years, providing care to patients across the lifespan, in six Seattle area Emergency Departments. She also works as Nurse Educator at the Harborview Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress, providing training to nurses from across Washington state. She has also worked in a variety of community-based settings including community health centers, campus health centers and outpatient clinics. She loves sharing the specialty area of Forensic Nursing with nursing students and serves as faculty mentor for the UW SoN student clubs, Nurses for Survivors and the Nursing Self-Care Club. Prior to teaching at the UW, she taught at the Seattle University College of Nursing.
