Gail Johnson DNP, ARNP, FNP-BC
I have 19 years of experience on faculty at the UW. I have taught a variety of courses in the FNP DNP program including Adult and Pediatric Health Assessment, Clinical Reasoning, Diagnostic Decision Making and Clinical Skills, Management of Common Health Concerns, Clinical Seminars in Primary Care for FNPs, Chronic Disease Management, Wellness, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, Social Determinants of Health and Health Equity, and Practice Doctorate Project. I have also co-directed the Exploration Seminar to Thailand.
I am a consultant to the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) in the NP Quality Assurance Program.
I have 30 years of experience as a nationally certified family nurse practitioner, and practice in a culturally diverse community clinic setting serving a medically underserved population. I am currently in practice and have clinical experience in family practice, pediatrics, women’s health, and asthma management/education.
