Clinical Specialist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nursing
Jill joins the University after a distinguished 25+ year career as a school nurse. Before relocating to Seattle, she worked in small, rural schools on the coast of Maine. There, she not only provided direct care to students but also delivered classroom health education, served as a liaison with community health partners, and took an innovative approach to mental health support for students. In Maine, she also worked as an adjunct clinical instructor for the Husson University School of Nursing, specializing in the Psychiatric/Mental Health practicum.
For the past 16 years, Jill served as a school nurse with Seattle Public Schools at Mercer International Middle School. During this time, she gained valuable experience working with a diverse population. Within the school district's nursing practice, she held various roles, including School Nurse Specialist, where she mentored new nurses and served as a clinical preceptor for BSN and MSN nursing students.
