Profile
I am a proud graduate of the University of Washington School of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program in Community Health Systems, with certificates in Cross-Cultural and Global Health and Nursing Education. I am passionate about teaching courses related to health promotion, social drivers of health, population health, health assessment, advanced clinical practicum, and the DNP scholarly project.
My commitment to anti-racism, diversity, equity, and belonging, as well as global and population health, is central to my teaching, scholarship, professional practice, and service. My research interests focus on community-based participatory research and collaborative interventions that engage community members to enhance community capacity, establish sustainable programs, improve health behaviors and outcomes, and translate research into effective, culturally tailored interventions.
In addition to my teaching role at the School of Nursing, I am a family nurse practitioner at Sea Mar Community Health Center and a preceptor for the Sea Mar Family Nurse Practitioner Residency. I am dedicated to providing care to medically underserved communities throughout Puget Sound and globally.
