Biobehavioral Nursing & Health Informatics
Profile
My research and teaching focus on the interaction of clinical care systems and outcomes for acutely ill people, biobehavioral interventions for patients with acute and chronic cardio-cerebrovascular disease, and outcomes of interprofessional education. I continue to lead interdisciplinary research teams engaged in interventions to improve recovery from brain injury. Most recently I have enjoyed administrative leadership for the UW School of Nursing. I have been a staff nurse in intensive care and neuroscience units, a public health nurse and now a faculty member and nurse scientist in schools of Nursing and of Public Health.
