About the Endowed Lecture for Health Promotion
Formerly known as the Elizabeth Sterling Soule Endowed Lecture, the Endowed Lecture for Health Promotion promotes visibility and recognition of nursing research and innovation in the public sphere. The UW School of Nursing hosts the Endowed Lecture for Health Promotion to bring prominent figures to speak to, and interact with, the UW SoN community and support education that benefits the public on topics related to health promotion and nursing.

Dr. Aisha Brooks was elected as speaker for the 2025 Endowed Lecture for Health Promotion
The UW School of Nursing is honored to have Dr. Aisha Brooks as the 2025 Endowed Lecture for Health Promotion speaker. Dr. Brooks is a retired Captain of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, having dedicated over 20 years of distinguished service. With over 30 years of experience spanning nursing, public health, and executive leadership, Dr. Brooks has also launched VitalVoice Nursing, LLC, a company dedicated to empowering nurse leaders, driving systemic change, and addressing population-level health challenges. The UW School of Nursing is thrilled to be joined by such an established, committed nursing leader.
