What are the research focus areas of the school?

The UW School of Nursing is renowned for its research excellence in innovative interventions, symptom science, health equity, and lifespan health. We are also home to some of the country’s most impactful research centers in nursing science such as antiracism in nursing, global health, healthy aging, infant and early childhood health, and sleep innovation.

What makes a UW education unique compared to other nursing programs?

The UW School of Nursing stands out for its strong emphasis on interdisciplinary education and collaboration. What role does the advisory board play in the school’s strategic direction?

The advisory board provides valuable guidance and insight into the strategic direction of our school. Comprised of leaders from healthcare, business, and academia, the board advises the Executive Dean, helping to shape our initiatives, ensuring they align with industry needs and community priorities. The board’s expertise supports the school in maintaining its leadership in nursing education, practice, and advocacy.
