If you are currently a high school sophomore or junior in Washington state and will be at least 16 years of age by July 14, 2025, you can apply for UW Nurse Camp!
No, UW Nurse Camp is in-person!
If you’d like to apply to UW Nurse Camp, you must submit an online application form, recommendation, and high school transcripts. More information on how to submit these are available when the application opens after February 15.
The deadline to submit your UW Nurse Camp application is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. All documents and your application are due on this date. Due to the high volume of applications, we cannot accept any late materials.
After the deadline, we review applications and communicate decisions in early May.
UW Nurse Camp is not a first-come, first-served application process. We review all complete applications only after the deadline.
The UW Nurse Camp application is typically available beginning in February. Applications and all application materials (recommendation, transcripts) are due by mid-April.
Notifications will be sent out in early May.
All campers must have turned 16 years of age by the first day of UW Nurse Camp. There are no exceptions to this requirement.
Graduating seniors are not admissible to this program; only those students who will be entering their Junior or Senior year of high school at the time of UW Nurse Camp.
UW Nurse Camp is a program geared toward diversifying the health provider population. All students are encouraged to apply regardless of their situation.
Students who are undocumented are welcome to apply to UW Nurse Camp. Applications are reviewed using the same guidelines as all other applicants.
Grades do not prevent an applicant from being accepted into UW Nurse Camp. We conduct a holistic admissions process and look at all aspects of an application, including essays, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities, and interest in the nursing profession.
