Will UW Nurse Camp be online?

No, UW Nurse Camp will be in-person for summer 2023!

When are applications available?

The UW Nurse Camp application for summer 2024 will be available in early 2024. Please check back soon!

When is the application deadline?

Applications and all application materials (recommendation, transcripts) are due by mid-April.

When will I know if I have been selected to be a UW Nurse Camper?

Notifications will be sent out in early May.

What if I am not going to be 16 years old by the time UW Nurse Camp begins?

All campers must have turned 16 years of age by the first day of UW Nurse Camp. There are no exceptions to this requirement.

What if I will be 17 years old by the time UW Nurse Camp begins, but I am graduating early?

Graduating seniors are not admissible to this program; only those students who will be entering their Junior or Senior year at the time of UW Nurse Camp.

What if I do not come from a disadvantaged family?

UW Nurse Camp is a program geared toward diversifying the health provider population. All students are encouraged to apply regardless of their situation.

What if I am an undocumented resident of the state of Washington and go to high school here?

Students who are undocumented are welcome to apply to UW Nurse Camp. Applications will be reviewed using the same guidelines as all other applicants.

What if I do not have a 4.0 GPA?

Grades do not prevent an applicant from being accepted into UW Nurse Camp. We conduct a holistic admissions process and look at all aspects of an application, including the essays, letter of recommendation, extracurricular activities, and interest in the nursing profession.
