Undergraduate degree programs

Applicants to our undergraduate programs will apply directly through our Nursing Application Portal.

All applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

Graduate degree programs

Applicants to our graduate degree programs apply through the University of Washington Graduate School. We do not require the GRE for any of our graduate programs.

All applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

*The DNP program has a priority deadline of January 15 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time for all tracks. There will be a May 1 deadline for DNP tracks that have not yet met admissions goals during the Jan 15 deadline. We will update the website by March 20 to indicate which tracks will participate in the May 1 application deadline.


Certificates

The application deadlines, start dates, and application process for our graduate certificates vary by program. Please refer to the specific dates and instructions below based on your desired program of study and start date, as well as if you are a current graduate student or new to the University of Washington.

We do not require the GRE for any of our graduate programs.

Post-graduate certificates

Post-graduate certificates are designed for current nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, clinical nurse specialists, and nurse anesthetists seeking to broaden their scope of practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs).

If you are not yet an APRN and your background is in areas such as nursing education, informatics, or leadership, we encourage you to explore our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) tracks.

Graduate certificates

Graduate certificate programs are available as stand-alone certificates OR concurrent with a University of Washington graduate degree. Graduate Non-Matriculated/Non-Degree-Seeking status

After contacting the appropriate program adviser to confirm course availability, you will apply for Graduate Non-Matriculated status through the University of Washington Graduate School.

All applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
