Application Information
UW Nurse Camp is a 1-week summer program for high school students. It seeks to foster, affirm, and encourage high school sophomores and juniors to pursue a career in nursing at no cost to the camper.
To participate in UW Nurse Camp, you must be:
A Washington State high school student, completing sophomore (10th grade) or junior (11th grade) during the 2024-2025 Academic Year
At least 16 years of age by the first day of the camp (July 14, 2025)
Demonstrate an interest in nursing.
Students of all backgrounds are eligible to apply.
The deadline for all application materials is April 15th, 2025, 11:59 PM PT. This is not a first-come, first-served process. All complete applications will be reviewed after the deadline.

2. Current, official high school transcript. Transcripts must be received by April 15, 2025. There are 2 ways to submit transcripts, please choose one:
- PAPER transcripts must be sealed by your school, and addressed to:

DIGITAL transcripts must be sent by your school (Registrar, Counseling, or other School Official) to uwnursecamp@uw.edu.
Unsealed paper transcripts, or digital transcripts sent by the applicant will not be accepted.
3. UW Nurse Camp Recommendation Form. This must be completed and submitted by a teacher, academic advisor, employer, volunteer supervisor, or mentor who is familiar with your goals of becoming a health professional.
The deadline for all application materials is Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 at 11:59 PM (PT). Due to the high volume of applications, we cannot accept any late materials.
UW Nurse Camp Essay Questions This document is available for students or educators who wish to prepare essay responses prior to completing the online form. Student responses can be drafted and saved into another document, and pasted in to the online form when ready.
