Violence has no place at our University and no role in our democracy

I would like to be sure you saw UW President Ana Mari Cauce’s communication on Saturday afternoon regarding the events in Red Square on the Seattle campus Friday evening:

On behalf of the UW School of Nursing, I am proud to offer President Cauce my complete support. Our school shares her belief that violence has no place at our University and in our communities. Like President Cauce, I also am heartbroken that a man was shot and others assaulted. The man is still hospitalized, and we hope for his full recovery.
