The protection of students’ health is important so that they will be able to resist illness and prevent transmission of diseases to patients. Therefore, students are required to have certain immunizations and testing prior to the first day of class.

Prior to beginning a program of study, all entering students are required to complete:

  • all immunization and tuberculosis surveillance requirements
  • a color vision test

Health Sciences Student Health Fee

All UW Health Sciences students (except MS-CIPCT) are assessed a student health fee, which cover services provided by the Health Sciences Immunizations Program (HSIP) as outlined on our Student Health Policy page.
