Mathematica

Description

Complex Equations, Non-Stochastic Simulation. Mathematica is a very large sophisticated software suite for symbolic, numeric, and graphical computations and visualization. In our environment it is predominantly used by people to solve complex equations, or to do non-stochastic simulation of the behavior of complex systems.

Availability

The UW College of Engineering has an omnibus site license (currently valid through 6/2011) - extendable to all departments and units on the main UW campus, under which individual copies of Mathematica may be installed on individual University-owned workstations at no charge. However, each copy must be registered with Mathematica.
