Qualitative Coding. ATLAS/ti is a powerful workbench for the qualitative analysis of large bodies of textual, graphical, audio and video data. It offers a variety of tools for accomplishing the tasks associated with any systematic approach to "soft" data--i.e., material which cannot be analyzed by formal, statistical approaches in meaningful ways.
ATLAS/ti is available for installation on any workstation directly connected to the School of Nursing local network. We currently own a five-workstation simultaneous user network-only license. That means that many people can have installed icons, but only five people can be running at the same time. At the present time, our license agreements prohibit installation of the ATLAS/ti software on laptops intended for usage that is disconnected from the School network. ATLAS/ti can be used by faculty, staff, postdocs, students, and official visitors to the School.
