Profile
Dr. Jillian Pintye (she/her), RN, MPH, PhD, is a nurse-scientist and Associate Professor in the Department of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Informatics at the University of Washington. She is also affiliated with the Global Center for Integrated Health of Women, Adolescents, and Children (Global WACh) in the Department of Global Health and is a Research Associate with the Botswana Harvard Health Partnership. Her research focuses on HIV and STI prevention and treatment, particularly within maternal child health and family planning settings. Dr. Pintye is engaged in a suite of studies related to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention among young cisgender women and pregnant populations in Kenya, including pharmacokinetic evaluations, randomized clinical trials (RCTs), prospective cohort studies, and qualitative and implementation science evaluations. Prior to graduate school, Dr. Pintye was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana, where she developed a passion for HIV and STI prevention among pregnant people and their children.
