Happy New Year and welcome back

Azita Emami

Welcome back! I hope you all had a restful break and enjoyed special time with friends and family.

This is going to be a very exciting quarter and year for the School of Nursing:

  • We are planning a trip to Olympia on Jan. 22 to participate in the annual Nurse Legislative Day, organized by the Washington State Nurses Association. Please consider joining us!
  • We will continue to make exciting progress on our strategic priorities. If you missed the report on our school’s accomplishments in the Autumn quarter, please read it on the Dean’s blog – it is a very impressive list!
  • In May, we will begin celebrating our centennial and 100 years of nursing influence in Washington and the world. In the Fall, we will host a Centennial Research Symposium and Centennial Brunch. Please save the dates.

I want you to know that I am so grateful for the talents and expertise you contribute to our school. You are all essential in building a collaborative and cooperative School of Nursing. I hope this is an excellent and productive quarter for each of you. If there is any way in which I can help you be successful, please contact me.

Happy New Year!
