Congratulations to all of our graduating students in the bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and graduate certificate programs on completing your programs of study! Please read through the following information carefully to ensure you have a stress-free end of program celebration. If you have questions, please call 206.543.8736.

The School of Nursing Convocation & Awards Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 9:30am until 11:00am at Meany Theater.

Convocation day schedule

Remember that tickets for guests are REQUIRED to enter Meany Theater for Convocation. Graduates and faculty participating in Convocation do not need tickets for themselves.

7:45 a.m. Graduates report to the Studio Theater
8:00 a.m. Will Call booth opens
8:15 a.m. Priority/disability seating groups able to enter lobby
8:30 a.m. Priority/disability seating groups seated in auditorium
8:45 a.m. Doors open for general seating; faculty report to the Studio Theater
9:30 a.m. Convocation ceremony begins
11:00 a.m. Refreshments served in the lobby

Information for students

Tickets are required for guests to enter Meany Theater; graduates are guaranteed three guest tickets, and up to four additional tickets per graduate may be available upon request. These will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each graduate MUST register on the UW’s Commencement website to order and pay for parking permits and academic apparel for the June 10, Convocation ceremony, even if you do not plan to participate in the University Commencement ceremony on Saturday, June 10. The registration and order form will be available in May.

Convocation communications will be sent via email to the nursing student listservs. If you will graduate before Spring Quarter 2017, you should complete our online survey to ensure we will be able to get information to you should you wish to participate: Complete the online survey

Faculty should order regalia (if necessary) by May 8, 2017 and RSVP online by May 31, 2017 if you plan to participate in Convocation:

Check your degree program section, as well as the UW home page, for instructions and guidelines on graduation from your program. More information about the UW policy and minimum requirements for earning your degree is available online.
