Why did you choose nursing? I’ve always wanted to work with people, and for a long time I was trying to decide between nursing and teaching.  Not only do I love the intellectual and emotional challenges presented in nursing, but being a part of the nursing profession will give me the opportunity to practice both as a nurse and as an educator someday, if I decide on that pathway.

What has been an unforgettable experience during your time at the School of Nursing? I’ve really loved the patient interaction gained through my clinical rotations at University of Washington Medical Center and Seattle Children’s.  I also feel really grateful to work so closely with the instructors who lead our lab sessions.

How has your experience at nursing helped you with your career trajectory?  I feel like I’m getting a very comprehensive exposure to different areas of nursing, through both lecture material and clinical rotations, which is allowing me to figure out which sector of work I might be most passionate about working in.
