Biochemical Laboratories

The Biobehavioral Laboratories in the School of Nursing include several fully equipped Biochemical Laboratories for measuring various enzymes, hormones, cytokines and peptides.

  • The general lab equipment include chemical fume hoods,  a fluorometer,  spectrophotometer, ELISA plate reader, High performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC) system, Immulite 1000 (DPC) analyzer, refrigerated centrifuge, and low-temperature freezers. 
  • One room is dedicated for protein DIGE work.
  • There is also physiological tension recording equipment available for monitoring gastrointestinal motility in small animals, as well as certified lab space for the upkeep of mice and rats.
