Hi there! I'm Anne and I'm from sunny central California. I came to Seattle a little over a year ago with the hope of getting accepted into one of the country's top ranked graduate nursing schools, and here I am! I received my BSN from Biola University (B.IO.LA!) in 2008, and have spent the last few years working in pediatrics, NICU, postpartum, and the OR as both a staff nurse and a traveler. I am currently working in the OR at University of Washington Medical Center with the otolaryngology team, and will continue to work throughout my time in the DNP program.
Long before college I developed a desire to work with underserved people groups in different parts of the world, caring for their needs physically, emotionally, and spiritually. My experiences working with the impoverished in Asia, Europe, and South America have further fostered this desire, and it is for this reason I am seeking my DNP in Community Health with a focus in cross-cultural and global health nursing.
In addition to school and work I'm involved in my church and church community, and try to find as much time as I can to train for my next triathlon or road race. I just finished my first Ironman and am working on training for the next one!
