Faculty member receives Loretta C. Ford Lifetime Achievement Award

Phyllis Zimmer Lifetime AchievementPhyllis Zimmer Lifetime AchievementPhyllis Arn Zimmer, MN, FNP, FAAN, lecturer in the dept. of Psychosocial and Community Health, received the Loretta C . Ford Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Nurse Practitioner Symposium, 2012. She was nominated by her mentor Loretta C.Ford. The award recognizes her contribution to nurse practitioner education through NONPF, her work at the UW, national and international consulting on nurse practitioner education,  as a founder and past president of the American College of Nurse Practitioners, and her establishment of the Nurse Practitioner Healthcare Foundation whose goal is to promote health care and health care access through nurse practitioner innovation, education, research and philanthropy.
