Doris BoutainDoris BoutainAssociate Professor Doris Boutain, PhD, RN, Department of Psychosocial and Community Health, was featured last week on Green Acre Radio for her grant work on preventing chronic disease in King County’s minority community. Her grant, “Moving Together in faith and health,” is funded through King County Public Health and explores churches as a resource for improving health outcomes for minority populations in Seattle. Through the project, she hopes to improve health outcomes for minority groups by utilizing existing community resources, such as church communities, to improve healthy habits.
