Dr. Sarah Shannon Discusses End-of-Life Care on Jefferson Public Radio

Sarah ShannonSarah ShannonDr. Sarah Shannon, PhD, RN, associate professor of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Systems, spoke with southern Oregon's Jefferson Public Radio this morning about her upcoming lecture on medical ethics and perspectives on end-of-life care.

Dr. Shannon discussed the need for individuals of all ages to have conversations with family members about end-of-life care. "Disparate Views at the End of Life: From Right-to-Die to Right-to-Live" is the subject of Dr. Shannon's Betsy LaSor Endowed Lecture on Monday, March 7 at Southern Oregon University.

LaSor was a psychiatric nurse practitioner who wanted southern Oregon nurses and nursing students to learn from a variety of prominent nursing leaders about key contemporary heath care issues facing U.S. and Canadian nurses.
