Centers and Programs Community Health Nursing (CHN) Specifically designed for students who are currently enrolled in the Community Health Nursing (CHN) focal area or interested in applying to the program. Specifically designed for students who are currently enrolled in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) focal area or interested in applying to the program. Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) The top-ranked Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) specialty within the Doctor of Nursing Practice program focuses on providing primary care services in the community to clients of all ages. The mission of the Northwest Roybal Center (NRC) is to promote the translation of basic behavioral and social sciences research to improving health, well being, quality of life and productivity of older adults with cognitive impairment and their caregivers. Building a Sustainable Indian Tribal Infrastructure for Translational Research The primary goals of the project are to strengthen the tribes’ ability to obtain research funding to meet their health concerns, provide teaching opportunities for our graduate and undergraduate nursing students, and offer a model of tribal /academic partnership that may benefit other colleges and universities and tribal communities.
