Citrix Instructions

You will need to log-in with your UW NetID and password. The preferred browsers are Internet Explorer and Safari; it will work with other browsers but will give you the best results with these browsers.

After logging in, you will be prompted to install a client, check the box and click on Download, this will install the program that allows you to use this system, just select Run when the dialog box pops up. You will only have to do this the first time you run this program on your computer.

After the Client is installed go to Preferences and select Session Settings. On this screen I would recommend changing the window size to “Percentage of screen” and in the Percentage of screen box enter: 45%, this will work well on most displays and can be easily manipulated.

Select Save to keep your changes.

Once this is done select Applications and click on whatever program you would like to use. This will launch a window that shows you the connection and program that is starting. All of the programs that are listed will automatically map your V (Personal) and K (Group) drives so that you may access files in these locations and also save to these locations.

You can also save things to your PC drive or any other drives you have installed on your PC including USB thumb drives. Local drives on your PC will show up with “Client” at the end of them. In the example below C, D, E, and F are all local drives, and in this case the F drive is a USB thumb drive.
