In a world of changing demographic patterns, emerging diseases, and mobile populations, all nurses need to gain awareness and knowledge of the geographic, economic, and cultural factors that influence health issues and healthcare all over the world.

The School of Nursing promotes understanding of global health by providing its students and faculty with access to international opportunities and by fostering international exchanges. This site provides links to options for UW students and faculty and for international visitors.

The school welcomes international applicants to its degree programs, accepts a limited number of visiting graduate students, and invites international faculty to apply to visit the School of Nursing for a few days or for a longer period (six weeks to one year) as visiting scholars.

In addition, the School of Nursing may be able to, in collaboration with the University of Washington International Outreach Program, organize custom designed programs for groups of 10 to 25 nursing students or faculty (depending on availability).
