With a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and patient care the UW School of Nursing is the No. 3 Nursing School in research funding from the NIH, with six centers of excellence and over 185 active and pending research projects.
UW Continuing Nursing Education supports excellence in lifelong learning for health care professionals, and is a nationally-recognized accredited provider of contact hours in nursing.

 Nursing faculty contribute to American Journal of Nursing Books of the YearThree School of Nursing Faculty Members contributed books that won American Journal of Nursing Book of the Year awards for 2011.
