Accepted Students

Congratulations on receiving an offer of admission from the School of Nursing!  You are part of an outstanding cohort of applicants, and we look forward to working with you.

If you accept our offer of admission, you should familiarize yourself with the Getting Started section to make sure you are ready to go when your program of study begins in summer or autumn.

Admitted Applicants

Applicants who received offers of admission should pay careful attention to the deadlines outlined in your admission offer letter. In order to enroll in the School of Nursing, you must:

  • Be admitted to the University of Washington
  • Return the following to Student and Academic Services:
    • Intent to Register form, indicating you accept our offer of admission
    • Building Access/Photo ID Card form and payment (amount TBD)
  • Applicants admitted to a fee-based program will additionally submit an Enrollment Confirmation Deposit to Professional & Continuing Education (PCE) - this deposit is ONLY required of students in PCE programs; you will receive more information directly from PCE
  • Complete all listed compliance requirements by the deadline
  • Successfully complete all outstanding coursework or degree requirements (varies by program)
  • Be exempted from all UW ESL/English requirements if you are a non-citizen/non-native English speaker

If we do not receive your Intent to Register form by the listed deadline, we will conclude that you have made other plans and will not be attending.  Once we receive your Intent to Register form, your file will be updated and you will receive an email confirmation from Student and Academic Services, as well as the next steps you should take before beginning your program.

Please make sure Student and Academic Services has your current contact information so we can get information to you in a timely manner (sonsas@uw.edu).

Waitlisted Applicants

Applicants offered a space on our waitlist should also pay close attention to deadlines outlined in your waitlist offer letter. Though we cannot guarantee a space will open up for you, you should still be prepared to complete all requirements by the listed deadlines:

If we do not receive your Intent to Register form by the listed deadline, we will conclude that you have made other plans and will remove you from the waitlist. Once we receive your Intent to Register form, your file will be updated and you will receive an email confirmation from Student and Academic Services.

We will notify you immediately by phone and postal mail if a space becomes available for you. If you are offered admission from the waitlist and have not completed all of the above requirements by the listed deadline, you automatically forfeit your space in the program and we will move to the next applicant on the waitlist.
