Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist Practice Characteristics

The Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist provides consultation, education, leadership, and integration of evidence-based practice in perinatal care. The Perinatal CNS serves as an expert clinical resource for nurses, and the health care providers and families. They develop educational programs for professionals and families and collaborates to develop and evaluate unit patient care standards.
