Nurse-Midwifery (NM)

The midwifery curriculum will be individualized for Nurse-Midwifery Graduate Certificate Program (GCPAPN) students, but will require completion of the core graduate nurse-midwifery curriculum.

Prior to final acceptance in to the program, applicants will meet with midwifery program faculty in order to develop an individualized, mutually agreed upon curriculum plan. This curriculum is in keeping with the requirements for nurse-midwifery preparation as defined in the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) Core Competencies for Basic Midwifery Practice.

  • GCPAPN midwifery applicants will be admitted on a space-available basis.
  • Please note an Advanced Practice Nursing degree is a prerequisite for application to this program.  Individuals with a Master of Nursing in Education or Leadership should consider the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.
