DNP 2.0: Important Curriculum & Track Admissions Information

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) 2.0 curriculum was developed with the intent that students attend full-time. While first-year classes are sustainable because all DNP students take core courses, tracks within the DNP are sustainable only if enough full-time students are enrolled (i.e., a minimum of 8 (clinical courses) or 10 (didactic courses) full-time students).

We cannot guarantee offers of admission to competitive applicants who choose tracks within the DNP degree program unless enough full-time students will be available to take specialty courses in the second year and possibly beyond. Because we cannot make this guarantee, we encourage you to consider alternative options within the UW School of Nursing or to consider alternative options in other colleges or universities that have educational offerings in your area of interest. Please contact with questions.
