CPR Training

All School of Nursing students are required to have a valid CPR card over the duration of their study. You are required to take the BLS for Healthcare Providers course from the American Heart Association (AHA). Your CPR training must include a hands-on practical/skills evaluation portion involving both adult and infant/child resuscitation. Online CPR training is not accepted.

Proof of CPR training is required at orientation when you begin your program of study. The expiration date of your training should be noted on the card. If no date is shown, it is considered to have an annual renewal.  You are responsible for maintaining your CPR training throughout your enrollment at the School of Nursing; if your initial training expires during the course of your enrollment, you must present proof to Academic Services that you have renewed your CPR training.

Online CPR Training

CPR training provided through websites that does not involve any in-person component is NOT ACCEPTED.  Students who submit certification provided by such an agency will be asked to re-take the training.
