PNP Curriculum

As one of our select students, you will experience individualized faculty attention and an excellent academic foundation. A core part of your PNP education is taught outside the classroom. Every quarter you will be placed with an expert primary or specialty care community provider to enhance your theoretical knowledge and build your clinical skills.

Your curriculum will consist of courses, seminars and clinical experiences that focus on:

  • Advanced pediatric health screening and assessment
  • Advanced pharmacology
  • Advanced pathophysiology
  • Advanced primary and specialized care for children and adolescents
  • Leadership and pediatric health care advocacy
  • Research and critique of current practice standards
  • Interdisciplinary practice
  • Community health care inequities and disparities

Your five quarter program of study is developed in consultation with a faculty academic adviser. Individualized programs can be designed for part-time and partial distance learning options.
