Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (PCNS)

This specialty area within the Doctor of Nursing Practice program prepares pediatric clinical nurse specialists (PCNSs) to serve as expert clinicians for patients from birth to young adulthood.  Completion of this program allows graduates to take the ANCC Clinical Nurse Specialist in Pediatrics board certification exam.

This program is offered to full and part-time students.  It is structured for students to attend classes on campus.  Distance access is available for a limited number of courses.

The focus of your education as a PCNS includes health assessment, health promotion and illness prevention.
