You are required to complete a 3 quarter credit basic course in descriptive and inferential statistics with a grade of at least 2.0 in order to apply to the BSN, MN and MS programs, and at least a 3.0 to apply to the ABSN.
If you have taken a statistics course and are unsure if it meets UW School of Nursing admission criteria, we invite you to check our list of approved statistics courses from around the world. Use the alphabetical listing below to select the country or state in which you took your statistics course.
If the course you took does not appear on our listings, it may not yet have been reviewed by the UW School of Nursing. If you would like the School to review your statistics course, submit the following information with your application:
- name, number, number of credits, and title of the course
- name of institution where course was taken
- full description of the course; you may be asked to provide a copy of the syllabus
If this information is submitted separately from your application, please include your name, phone number, and e-mail address at the top of each page. If you would like a compact review of basic statistics, including on-line tutorials and exercises for using SPSS, visit the Psychology Department at University of Toronto.
