Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)

The Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) track focuses on the primary care of adults from adolescence through old age and across the health continuum. Diverse clinical practice learning opportunities prepare the graduate for roles as a collaborative member of the health care team and as a primary health care provider.

Please note that, though we are currently educating both MN and DNP AGNP students, we are now only admitting to the DNP AGNP program (effective for summer or autumn start 2012 and thereafter).

As of Autumn 2011, BNHS now prepares all adult nurse practitioners as Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioners (AGNP), eligible to sit for the AGNP: Primary Care examination. AGNP students may enhance their education through elective coursework.
