Two FNP-DNP students recently placed in the Foster School of Business’s Sweet 16 competition for their business plan for FD Cares, a community-based first responders and nurse run model of care for non-urgent 911 calls with the Kent fire department. Katie Brown, a former emergency department nurse, and Adam Davis, a graduate of the school’s MEPN program and who recently was a community health worker in Africa, are both DNP students who recently completed their capstone projects on this work. The final competition will occur on May 22nd 1-4:30pm at Dempsey Hall on the UW Campus.
