Research

My research interest is focused on elder mistreatment (abuse, neglect, and exploitation), particularly physical markers of neglect and developing preventive interventions for elder neglect dyads. I do not currently have any funded projects, but am awaiting results of grant submissions.

Teaching

Given my full-time administrative positions, I do not teach any courses at this time.

Practice, Service, Community Involvement

I am an active member of the Gerontological Society of America, the American Geriatrics Society, and the National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse. I co-chair the King County Elder Abuse Council. I am also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, the Western Institute of Nursing, and the National Gerontological Nurses Association.

I live in the city of Issaquah and currently serve a chairperson of the Human Services Commission.
